To help competitors prepare for the McDonald’s ITU Long Distance Duathlon World Championships, a virtual tour, course map, elevation chart and an elite duathletes perspective on the course are available at duathlonworlds.com.
The new virtual tour, course map and elevation chart highlight the course layout and some of the most scenic areas along the bike and run route. The virtual tour focuses on the unique aspects of the bike and run portions of the city-based course.

Starting and finishing in downtown Richmond, the course is spectator friendly as it winds through city parks, along canals, over the James River and passes many historic sites. The course map is available for both athletes and spectators alike and is laid out on a map of Richmond that includes pictures of the course. The elevation chart shows where the hills are on the course and the printable version of the course map offers a convenient tool for preparation.
